"The Didache" is the earliest known landmark of Christian writing of a doctrinal nature. The monument is an extremely valuable commentary on the earliest accounts of the life and structure of early Christian communities. Considered lost, it was only found and published in 1883. It was widely known in the early Church and was counted by Clement of Alexandria among the books of Holy Scripture of the New Testament.
